Kenmore, Perthshire Fascinator Making Hen Party fun

This brilliant fascinator making hen party saw Arabella Bridal’s Danielle heading up to the lovely Mains of Taymouth estate near Kenmore in Perthshire to run a class for some lovely hens.   They all had lots of fun whilst they each learnt to make a unique fascinator.  This was one of our mini fascinator making classes so the styles that Danielle taught were a bit simpler than in our longer class, but as you can see they managed to come up with some really beautiful designs making use of all the materials that we provided. Thanks again to all of the lovely hens for making it such a fun...

Fascinator Making Hen Party in Fife

We travelled up to the lovely Kingsbarns in Fife (reminding me of Sunday day trips as a child!) to run a fascinator making class recently. The hens were staying in the lovely Morton of Pitmilly self catering houses surrounded by countryside and minutes away from the lovely Fife coast.  There was as always,  a mixture of sewing experience amongst the hens ranging from some queen sewing bees to some who hadn’t threaded a needle since their school days, resulting in looks of delight, intrigue and fear as we explained to them that they would all be hand sewing their fascinators. As always all the hens created beautiful fascinators by the end of the class.   We had loads of very different designs made, from simple pastel floral pieces to large black and green statement pieces and we were delighted with the fascinators that they made.  The weather was so lovely that we even managed to do lots of our photos outside. They were such a lovely bunch of hens, Rona and I had a great time running the class for them. Here are some photos of the class....

Fascinator Making Hen Party in West Lothian

Fascinator Making Hen Party in West Lothian

We recently ran a fabulous fascinator making hen party class in West Lothian, near Edinburgh, for some lovely hens.  The journey to the venue was hilarious with a rather unusual kind of traffic jam on the way when a herd of cows blocked the driveway to the house..! We arrived at the stunning self catering house that the hen party had rented and arrived to find the hens enjoying having their hair and make up done. The girls had decorated the house with bunting and prepared delicious cocktails to enjoy during the class. Hannah was joined by the newest member of the Arabella Bridal team, Rona, and we set the class up in the huge, bright, open plan dining area and living room. When we’d finished teaching them the basic techniques required to make fascinators, the girls got stuck straight into making their fascinators. As always,  we were surprised and impressed at how creative they all were, and how different each of their fascinator were.  Ranging from small, simple pastel coloured designs to large, vibrant statement hats, the hens did a great job of making their unique fascinators. We had a fun photoshoot at the end of the class and got some lovely pictures of them all. As we were leaving, the music was turned up, cocktails poured and the dancing had begun – we were very tempted to stay and join in! Thanks again to all the girls for booking with us and for being such good fun! xx...

Fascinator Making Hen Party Fun in Glasgow’s Hummingbird

Arabella Bridal’s lovely Danielle had a fab time running another fascinator making class in Glasgow. The afternoon session was with Lianne and her glamourous hens in the super cool Hummingbird. The girls had the use of their fabulous “Posh Room” for the class and got to work making some amazing pieces. The girls made a fantastic selection of individual and stylish fascinators. A few of the hens had brought along ideas: outfits that they wanted to compliment, or something they particularly liked – others were simply inspired by the materials and made something unique on the day.  All the pieces that they made were lovely, lots of architectural shapes and bright summery colours. A huge success…the girls headed off for drinks in the evening sunshine, looking even more stylish in their new fascinators then they did when they arrived! Here are some photos of the lovely hens hard at work and showing off their hand made fascinators....

Great Gatsby! A 30s themed fascinator making hen party workshop.

Oh we had a lot of fun last weekend for Emma’s fabulous 30s themed hen party in Edinburgh! We were asked along to host a 30s themed fascinator making class and we had a LOT of fun designing pieces for the girls to make, and they did a fabulous job of creating some stunning pieces!  The class was held in one of the bridesmaid’s flat in Edinburgh which was decorated like a 30s jazz club – plenty of sparkle, jazz and cocktails.  We taught the girls how to make some lovely 30s style fascinators and alice bands that they would be able to wear time and time again. Once again we were amazed at how different everyone’s designs were. The girls had a great time with lots of laughter – we were sorry to leave! Thanks so much for letting us be part of Emma’s hen party – we wish her all the best for her wedding day! Looking forward to seeing photos of it. Here are some snaps of the afternoon:...
