This brilliant fascinator making hen party saw Arabella Bridal’s Danielle heading up to the lovely Mains of Taymouth estate near Kenmore in Perthshire to run a class for some lovely hens. They all had lots of fun whilst they each learnt to make a unique fascinator. This was one of our mini fascinator making classes so the styles that Danielle taught were a bit simpler than in our longer class, but as you can see they managed to come up with some really beautiful designs making use of all the materials that we provided. Thanks again to all of the lovely hens for making it such a fun...
Read MoreWe recently ran a fabulous fascinator making hen party class in West Lothian, near Edinburgh, for some lovely hens. The journey to the venue was hilarious with a rather unusual kind of traffic jam on the way when a herd of cows blocked the driveway to the house..! We arrived at the stunning self catering house that the hen party had rented and arrived to find the hens enjoying having their hair and make up done. The girls had decorated the house with bunting and prepared delicious cocktails to enjoy during the class. Hannah was joined by the newest member of the Arabella Bridal team, Rona, and we set the class up in the huge, bright, open plan dining area and living room. When we’d finished teaching them the basic techniques required to make fascinators, the girls got stuck straight into making their fascinators. As always, we were surprised and impressed at how creative they all were, and how different each of their fascinator were. Ranging from small, simple pastel coloured designs to large, vibrant statement hats, the hens did a great job of making their unique fascinators. We had a fun photoshoot at the end of the class and got some lovely pictures of them all. As we were leaving, the music was turned up, cocktails poured and the dancing had begun – we were very tempted to stay and join in! Thanks again to all the girls for booking with us and for being such good fun! xx...
Read MoreWe set off for Dunblane last weekend to run a Luxury Fascinator Making class for the lovely Almudena and her hens. The fascinator making class was being held in the lovely Westlands Hotel which was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and gorgeous decor. We were very impressed to discover that two of the ladies were in fact Captains of aircraft – very cool! After some instruction, the ladies set to work and we soon discovered that they were a very creative bunch of hens indeed. They came up with some stunning designs and each of their fascinators were very different. Their designs ranged from a statement royal blue feather fascinator, to an elegant pastel pink piece, a gorgeous black and green feathery fascinator to a “boho” pleated pastel design. They also enjoyed a delicious spread of food put on by Jody and her mum. Jody’s little boy even joined in for a short while and we helped to make him a little Red Indian feather head piece! They were such a lovely group of hens and we loved running the fascinator making class for them. Here are some snaps of the afternoon and their creations:...

We recently had the pleasure of running a Luxury Fascinator Making class for Rachel’s hen party in the beautiful Howard Hotel in Edinburgh’s New Town – renowned for it’s fabulous Afternoon Tea. The girls had all come up by train from Northern England to spend Rachel’s hen weekend in Edinburgh and were all on great form! They all got very creative during the class and made very unique, beautiful fascinators which they were all going to wear out into town that evening. The bride-to-be Rachel made a stunning coral and purple fascinator to go with a beautiful coral dress that she was wearing out to dinner that night. As if being surrounded by good friends and mountains of gorgeous fabrics, sinamays, brooches, sparkles wasn’t enough, the girls also indulged in a delicious Afternoon Tea served by some lovely, friendly “butlers” in the Howard who looked after the girls very well and made sure the tea never ran out! The girls have kindly let us share some of their photos so you can see some of the amazing pieces that they...
Read MoreNow THIS will put a smile on your face! As you may or may not know, we occasionally run “themed” fascinator making classes if the hen party in question has a particular theme to it. We were contacted by Lynnette who asked if we could run a “Mad Hatter Tea Party” style fascinator making class for Pip’s hen party in Glasgow, a chance which we of course jumped at! We had so much fun designing some fabulous Mad Hatter style fascinator for the ladies to make and added in some great Alice in Wonderland style props for the day (here’s a sneak preview of some of the designs – amazing, no..?! 😉 ) The hen party class was run in their flat in Glasgow and Arabella Bridal’s lovely Danielle went along armed with our Mad Hatter props and designs as well as mountains of materials for the ladies to choose from. They all had lots of fun and made some brilliant Mad Hatter style fascinators which all looked great! They really got into the swing of it and got really creative with some oversized Alice in Wonderland style bows, some mini top hats and plenty of crazy buttons and sparkle! Johnny Depp would be proud…. 😉 Here are a few shots of the lovely ladies having fun and proudly displaying their...
