Hen Party in Leith – fascinator making in the Granary

We held another of our very popular fascinator making classes recently in the function room of the Granary in Edinburgh’s lovely Leith area.  The hens were tucking into a delicious buffet when we arrived and enjoyed their food and drink while we taught them how to make some lovely fascinators.

Some of the hens chose to design their own and got very creative with lots of attention to detail – sewing beads onto the delicate netting that we had brought along and mixing textures for an interesting finish. Others chose to stick to the designs that we had brought along for them to copy and they all worked away for a couple of hours with Hannah helping them with their creations.  As this was one of our mini classes, the hen party had two hours to make their designs and all did really well managing to create some fantastic fascinators in the time they had.   The function room was quite dark so we had to be a bit creative with our photoshoot at the end of the fascinator making class, and all went down to post on the mezzanine for our group shot!

Thanks to all the hens for being such good fun! x
