A “Roaring 20s” fascinator making hen party workshop in Edinburgh!

What a fab afternoon we had with the ladies on Kim’s hen party in Edinburgh last weekend. The hens had come down to Edinburgh from Aberdeen for the weekend and had the class in a lovely apartment in Leith. They had opted for our Great Gatsby, roaring 20s style fascinator class so there were plenty of headbands, feathers and sparkle available for them to use.  Lots of the girls chose simple alice band style pieces using lovely diamante and crystal details, with many of them hand sewing some lovely bead work onto their designs. Once again, each of them came up with unique designs and by the end of the class we had a beautiful range of hand-made fascinators for them to wear out that night. Here are some photos of the hens creating their fascinators and proudly showing off this finished...

Fascinator Making Hen Party Fun in Glasgow’s Hummingbird

Arabella Bridal’s lovely Danielle had a fab time running another fascinator making class in Glasgow. The afternoon session was with Lianne and her glamourous hens in the super cool Hummingbird. The girls had the use of their fabulous “Posh Room” for the class and got to work making some amazing pieces. The girls made a fantastic selection of individual and stylish fascinators. A few of the hens had brought along ideas: outfits that they wanted to compliment, or something they particularly liked – others were simply inspired by the materials and made something unique on the day.  All the pieces that they made were lovely, lots of architectural shapes and bright summery colours. A huge success…the girls headed off for drinks in the evening sunshine, looking even more stylish in their new fascinators then they did when they arrived! Here are some photos of the lovely hens hard at work and showing off their hand made fascinators....

Fascinator Making Hen Party Workshop on the banks of Loch Tay

We had a FABULOUS afternoon on the banks of Loch Tay, half way between Killin and Aberfeldy last weekend, running a fascinator making class as part o Steph’s hen party.  The ladies had rented a stunning house for the weekend, with views across the loch, and the sun was shining for the whole day. We ran the class in the beautiful conservatory overlooking the gardens and loch. The ladies had been busy baking a mountain of scrumptious cakes beforehand and so the adjoining kitchen was full of the delicious treats to fuel the class (I can now confirm that it’s very hard to concentrate on teaching a class when there are such yummy chocolatey smells drifting past your nose…!!) The girls (despite their claims of not being creative) made some beautiful pieces with an array of styles and colours.  There was a lot of giggles and laughter during the class as they beavered away, and everyone managed to complete their pieces in the nick of time, before they headed off for their next activity of Highland Games (which was apparently going to include “Tossing the Haggis” – we want to see the photos from THAT!) Here are some photos of the lovely ladies and their creations.  We can’t wait to go back so if anyone else fancies a Perthshire hen party – do let us know! xxxx...

Fascinator Making with a vintage twist!

Danielle had lots of fun at the gorgeous Butterfly and Pig tearooms again recently running another lovely Fascinator Making Workshop for a hen party.  The setting was perfect for a quirky vintage class and we added a touch of vintage bunting to finish it off. The girls all made gorgeous fascinators with a vintage twist – choosing to include lots of lovely birdcage veils in their designs.  Every fascinator was different and unique, and the girls were all delighted with the outcomes. The girls very kindly wrote to us afterwards to say: “Hi Hannah,  I just wanted to write and say thank you and Danielle for the fascinator workshop, it was excellent! Everyone really enjoyed it and commented on how personable and helpful Danielle was.” So lovely of them – we love our job! Here are some pics of the afternoon, before the girls tucked into their delicious afternoon tea – the cakes at the Butterfly and Pig really are to die...

Bunting with brunch! Jo’s bunting making hen party workshop in Fife.

We had a great time a couple of weeks ago running a bunting making workshop as part of the lovely bride-to-be Jo’s hen party.  The girls were staying at the fabulous Treescape in the East Neuk of Fife so we enjoyed beautiful surroundings as we got creative before lunch!  Fuelled with plenty of tea, coffee and cakes, the girls had a great time making some beautiful bunting for Jo.  Here are some snaps of the girls hard at work and of the finished product! If you’d like to find out more about our bunting classes which start from just £19.95pp and can be held in one of our recommended venues in Edinburgh or Glasgow, or in your own accommodation anywhere in Scotland, don’t hesitate to contact...
